Looking Forward to the Best Games of Summer 2024

2023 was a fantastic year for the gaming community.

Plenty of redefining games made a mark on the virtual entertainment landscape, unleashing various sensational attractions like Baldur's Gate 3, Diablo IV, Starfield, and the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. These are exemplary gaming titles, bristling with fanfare and amazing in-game tech.  

The worldwide video game industry has done a stellar job, presenting a full platter of hors d'oeuvres, entrees, and deserts to a discerning global audience of players. Fortunately, game developers, designers, and engineers are working around the clock to release groundbreaking titles to eager fans. The best games of summer 2024 are about to be unleashed, and they are scintillating. 

Naturally, scores of action-packed adventures abound. Many top games are waiting to be enjoyed this summer, like Raid: Shadow Legends, an epic fantasy collection RPG attraction. In a faraway realm known as Teleria, the Dark Lord Siroth rules with a savage reign. As one of the long-dead warriors from this clan, you are re-animated courtesy of the Arbiter to end the darkness. This high-octane player-versus-player gaming arena features incredibly tough battles but is filled with insane rewards. Deep lore, hundreds of champions, and epic boss battles await Raid: Shadow Legends players. 

Of course, there are plenty of other titles waiting to burst onto your screen, including Throne: Kingdom at War, Sparta: War of Empires, Total Domination, Stormfall: Rise of Balur, Towers and Titans, Lost Island: Blast Adventure, Alliance: Heroes of the Spire and Heart of Vegas among others. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown 

Let's continue with another exciting attraction – the Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. This pulsating video game by Ubisoft is all the rage. Luckily, this follow-up to the extraordinary video game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time delivers in a big way. It's time to don your armor, hoist your sword, and start swinging at the demonic entities intent on your destruction. This strategy-based game is bursting with puzzle-solving elements, unique time-bending attributes, and more features and fanfare than ever before. It is acrobatic, stylish, and popping with Big Boss action. Delivered with a 2.5 D presentation, it's a power-packed attraction slated for release this year.

Braid, Anniversary Edition 

Scheduled for imminent release, Braid, Anniversary Edition is a stylistic, theatrical puzzle-style game available on multiple platforms. These include Android and iOS devices (for Netflix subscribers), PS 4 and PS 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC gaming aficionados. The iconic 2008 game Braid, is a puzzle-platform attraction with a suave and sophisticated update to its world-class watercolor-esque forest. The anniversary edition of the game pays tribute to the original, and that's a good thing because it was great. This new release is expected to add many additional animations, smooth gaming movement, and moody elements to the overall sound.

Destiny 2 – The Final Shape 

Game developer Bungie has crafted an extraordinary title – Destiny 2: The Final Shape. Scheduled for release on 4 June 2024, this sci-fi adventure has a fascinating backstory. Players are destined to confront Oblivion. The final shape looms large, and it is an end-of-world scenario where players are thrust into a dangerous world in the heart of The Traveler. The Vanguard must be rallied there, and the War of Light and Darkness must end. The destination is The Pale Heart. In this dystopian enclave, eternity is being ripped apart. The landscape is perilously unraveling, but players must persevere in this disastrous miasma to discover the truth about the war. Players enjoy new supers, including Song of Flame: Warlock, Twilight Arsenal: Titan, and Storms Edge: Hunter.
